When I was in sixth grade (or grade 6 for those Canadian readers) attending St. Monica, I wrote a note to my best friend Sean Ramirez. I passed it to him to read during class. The note read:
“I can’t wait to get out of this hole of school.”
Or something along those lines. I didn’t think much about the note until the following day, when the teacher for that room, Miss Bowles, started class by saying, “Mr. Reinhardt, if you dislike this school so much, I suggest you leave as soon as possible.” Soooo…. Someone had turned in the note I wrote to Sean. (BTW, thanks Sean for leaving it behind!) I suspect it was Amy Perry, but I don’t have any proof. If I had stayed at St. Monica for seventh and eighth grade, I would have had Miss Bowles reminding me every day about that note–I’m sure of it. I left St. Monica at the end of that school year and went to Chaminade College Prep for middle school and high school.
